It only takes a few minutes to order your first Good Chop box.
To start, go to the Good Chop website and click “View Plans.”
The first thing you’ll see is the two sizes of customizable protein boxes: Medium (6 cuts for $149) and Large (12 cuts for $269). Cooks Venture boxes are priced by size, not by the meat selections themselves, meaning you can select whichever proteins you like without concern of the pricing rising.
After selecting your box size, you’ll find a list of Good Chop’s proteins, divided by protein type. Each product will include a photo of the protein, quantity information (e.g. “1 lb. pack”), and a few identifying features about it, like whether the beef you’re looking at is Angus or Grass-Fed.
Next, you’ll create a Good Chop account (if you don’t already have one) using your email.
Finally, you’ll enter your shipping and payment information. Now, your proteins are on their way!
Once your Good Chop box arrives (typically a week after ordering), you’ll find that all of your proteins are frozen. Good Chop freezes your proteins for safety and freshness both for safety and freshness; in fact, if kept frozen in your freezer, most Good Chop proteins stay fresh for up to a year.
In the box, you’ll find insulated packaging, your frozen proteins, dry ice, and cooking instructions. The insulated packaging and cardboard box can be recycled, the proteins can be placed in your freezer, and the dry ice can be left in your sink to melt (just be sure to open a window). The cooking instructions will offer you a few important tips for thawing and cooking your proteins, and these pamphlets can be recycled when you’re done with them.
Good Chop makes it easy to receive US-raised, antibiotic-free proteins right to your home.
